WARNING OF TRAFFIC DISRUPTION

Sunday 4 June: the Jack Lynch Tunnel will be running contraflow (one bore only) from 8.30 am until 12.30 due to the Cork City Marathon. Cork City Council advise allow 30 minutes extra if travelling before 1 pm at which time backlog should be cleared.

From Cork City – Jack Lynch Tunnel

1. Take South Link (N25) West for about 6.4 miles (10.3km) and exit left onto the Bandon Road (West Cork) N71

2. Take N71 for about 6.2 miles (10km) to the roundabout at Halfway Village and take 1st exit to Kinsale (R 607)

3. Stay on R607 for 6 miles (10km)

4. Turn right at White post and Rail fence. Racecourse is well signposted.

5. The Racecourse and car park are about 3/4 of a mile, down this road, on your left

6. Horseboxes continue past the carpark for about 200 yds to the crossroads roads.

7. Turn left & go up the hill. The horsebox entrance is on the brow of the hill on the left.

From Bandon:

1. Take (N71) Cork Road through Innishannon to roundabout at Halfway (village).

2. Take the 3rd exit to Kinsale (R 607)

3. Stay on R 607 for about 6 miles (10km)

4. Turn right at white post and rail fence. Racecourse is well signposted.

5. The Racecourse and Car park are about 3/4 mile, along this road, on the left.

6. Horseboxes continue past car park entrance,for about 200 yds, to cross roads.

7. Turn left & go up the hill. The horsebox entrance is on the brow of the hill on the left.

From Belgooly:

1. Keeping the Huntsman Pub on your left turn right and cross the bridge.

2. Travel along this road for about 1.5miles (2.4km)

3. At T-Junction turn right and go for about 300 yds.

4. Turn left and go for 1/2 mile (0.8 km)

5. At T-Junction turn right and go for about 200 yds.

6. Turn Left at White Post and Rail Fence. Racecourse is well signposted.

7. The Racecourse & Car park are about 3/4 mile, along this road, on the left.

8. Horseboxes continue past car park entrance, for about 200 yds, to cross roads.

9. Turn left & go up the hill. The Horsebox Entrance is on the brow of the hill on the left. This entrance is for Horseboxes only
