Going report: Turf club inspection 1 June: good to yielding. Overnight rain since has probably softened the ground further. Watering will continue if it is required.

Parade Ring
Kinsale Point to Point has a large parade ring with great visibility for checking out the form, both horse and human.

Race course
Kinsale is a left-handed track with five fences, which has matured nicely since the Festival moved to the Farrangalway site in 2007.

Start and finish
Races begin at the entrance to the home straight, with a decent run to the first fence, which is also the last.

Down to the start

They're off!
There is a climb from the obstacle to the fence at the end of home straight, with an obstacle also following on the side straight.

Running well...
The first of two fences in the back straight is taken on the level, but the second last is taken at the start of a rapid descent into a hollow.

Winner alright!
The runners then climb to the home turn. There is only a short run-in to the winning post.
